in june, i got to photograph the venice biennale for artforum. the art fair was incredible, venice was magical.
with 4 days of shooting and thousands of photos later, i’ve been anxious to see what the magazine would run. i finally got a chance to pick up the fall issue today! here’s a few of the spreads with my photos (apologies for the terrible scans, the magazine is huge and square and doesn’t fit on my scanner…but you get the idea!) sign me up for 2011!

this week i’ve been working on a project for AVPS (Audio Video Preservation Solutions). its an awesome company that has been working with many icons of the art world to preserve/archive their works. i’ve gotten to shoot at merce cunningham’s studio, peter gabriel’s witness project and at the artist/architect vito acconci. i’m really excited about this shot.

make zine just arrived!!! this is the first time i’ve shot for make (i’ve contributed often to its sister publication craft zine) and i’m super excited. the picture ran tiny but hey, the magazine is almost pocket-sized and i’m sure it takes a lot of text to explain to someone like me how i can make a portable satellite network kit!!
i photographed westminster show dogs for life magazine a few years ago. it was one of my favorite assignments ever! and now (teamed up with designer and art book maven stacy wakefield forte, evil twin publications) i’m lucky enough to turn this project into a book. shooting starts again tomorrow at a dog show in the adirondacks. i love this cover option.
